How do I use the Alert Reception API

General information about Alerting

JavaCAPS and Glassfish ESB ver 2.2 users are fine.

Note for Open-ESB and Glassfish-ESB ver 2.1 users

Make sure you have enabled Alerting for Open-ESB and Glassfish ESB ver 2.1

Note for Fuji users

Since Fuji has not been released yet, to manage any Fuji instances, you need to explicitly install backend functionality that enables Common Management and Monitoring support for managing Fuji stand-alone and Fuji on Glassfish v3.

• Fuji with Glassfish v3 Users: Before using the Common Management and Monitoring API for managing and monitoring a Glassfish v3 with Fuji instance, please ensure that you have enabled Common Management and Monitoring support for Fuji on Glassfish v3.
• Fuji Standalone Users:: Before using the Common Management and Monitoring API for managing and monitoring a standalone Fuji instance, please ensure that you have enabled Common Management and Monitoring support for standalone Fuji.

1	Sample to receive all alerts that are generated by Composite Applications, SEs, BCs, and the JBI runtime	TestAlertNotificationListener
2	Sample to filter and receive only those types of alerts that you are interested in	TestAlertFiltering
