Getting Started Guide

This guide describes how to get started using the Gestalt Open Source JBI Components such as RSS, SIP, UDDI, or XMPP BCs.

1. Download and install the latest OpenESB installer.
   1. This includes the latest Glassfish, which contains the latest OpenESB, and Netbeans 6.0.
2. Reinstall the latest JBI Component. This ensures you are working with the latest release.
   1. Open up Netbeans
   2. Start the Glassfish server
   3. Uninstall the Gestalt Binding Component
   4. Go to the projects java.net home page and download the latest release
   5. Using Netbeans install the latest Binding Component
3. Reinstall the latest Netbeans NBM. This ensures you are working with the latest NBM.
   1. Go to the projects java.net home page and download the latest NBM
   2. Uninstall the current NBM in Netbeans
   3. Install the latest NBM in Netbeans
   4. Restart Netbeans
4. Now you are ready to use Netbeans to create a BPEL Module and Composite Application
